When you need it
When a family member is recovering from surgery, using a walker or wheelchair, or you are planning ahead so they can stay in their home instead of moving into assisted living. Also when a current bathroom is creating real fall risk.
What's required
A walk-through with the actual user (not just the family) to plan around their real needs, possibly widening doorways or relocating fixtures, accessible shower or tub, properly anchored grab bars, and a 50% deposit. Some changes (like moving a wall) require permits.
